Early Years Teacher – Autumn Term (with potential to extend)

Location: South Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Autumn Term initially until Christmas, with the possibility of extension)
Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and nurturing primary school in the South of the Wakefield local authority is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching within the Early Years setting, delivering engaging and creative learning experiences that support children's academic, social and emotional development. The position is available for the Autumn Term initially, with the potential to continue beyond Christmas.
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching within an Early Years setting.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Has experience adapting teaching and learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Creates a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Has a kind, caring and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Works effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Is committed to ensuring every child achieves their potential.
