Early Years Teacher – Batley

Location: Batley area
Start Date: After the Easter holidays
Contract: Full time until summer, with potential to go permanent
Suitable for: Experienced teachers and ECTs

Pay: To scale – MPS/UPS

I am currently working with a well‑regarded primary school in the Batley area who are seeking a committed and nurturing Early Years Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. This full‑time role will run through to the end of the summer term, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

The successful teacher will be placed in either Reception or Nursery depending on their experience, strengths and teaching style. The school is warm, welcoming and well‑organised, with a supportive Early Years team who value creativity, consistency and strong relationships with families.

The role:

Full‑time Early Years teaching post (Nursery or Reception)
Start immediately after the Easter holidays
Contract through to July, with potential for a permanent role
Opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced EYFS team

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS (ECTs warmly welcomed to apply)
Have strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
Bring a nurturing, child‑centred approach to classroom practice
Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
Be confident adapting to either Nursery or Reception, depending on placement
