Location: Greenwich
Start date: ASAP
Contract Type: Fixed Term (Until Easter 2026)
⏰ Working Hours: 35 hours per week (8.30am – 4.00pm, with 30 minutes for lunch)
Term Time: 39 weeks per year
Salary: £31,524 (FTE) Pro rata for term-time contract
The Opportunity
This Primary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their welcoming team in the Foundation Stage. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to providing high-quality early years education and has a strong understanding of EYFS practice.

We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to the learning and development of young children.
Key Requirements:
✔️ Maths & English GCSE (Grade C or above)
✔️ Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent)
✔️ Excellent spoken and written English
✔️ Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
✔️ Knowledge of EYFS assessment and observation practices
✔️ Experience supporting children’s communication and language development
✔️ Familiarity with Forest School principles (or willingness to undergo training)
Your Role & Responsibilities
•Collaborate closely with the Foundation Stage team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
•Contribute to the preparation and evaluation of learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
•Support children’s communication skills, particularly spoken language, through engaging and interactive approaches.
•Observe, assess, and record children’s development, ensuring alignment with EYFS principles.
•Encourage positive interactions and learning experiences, fostering confidence and independence in young learners.
