Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Southam area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner for a full-time maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist to join a supportive and child-centred environment, where the focus is on fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning from the very start of a child's educational journey.

Your new role

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in the nursery class

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for young children

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's development.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working within an Early Years Foundation Stage setting

  • A nurturing and patient approach to teaching

  • Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
