Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Special MLD School, Dudley)
Location: Dudley
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP (continuing into the New Year)
Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant job in Dudley where you can make a real difference? A welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEND) school is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a KS2 class of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
About the Role
- Full-time position starting as soon as possible, continuing into the New Year.
- Support a KS2 class of 9 pupils with a range of moderate learning difficulties, including literacy and numeracy challenges, speech and language needs, and social/emotional development.
- Work alongside a full-time class teacher, one HLTA, and two experienced Teaching Assistants in a collaborative, well-structured team.
- Deliver tailored support through one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional well-being in a nurturing environment.
About the Pupils
The pupils have diverse needs, including:
- Moderate learning difficulties impacting core subjects.
- Speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Social and emotional needs require patience and positive reinforcement.
- Some pupils may need sensory support and help to maintain focus.
