DT TECHNICIAN ROLE, SOLIHULL, MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8AM -3.30PM

Your new company

A secondary school in Solihull is seeking a proactive and skilled Design Technology Technician on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support creative learning and help students bring their ideas to life in a safe, well-equipped workshop environment. The role will be Monday - Friday, 8am - 3.30pm. To commence in December.


Your new role

This school is currently looking for a full-time DT technician to start in December. Your time in this role will include:

  • General preparation of materials and assisting with lessons.
  • Maintaining an inventory and management of materials.
  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • Carry out daily tasks as directed by teachers.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are stored securely.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Will be organised
  • Experience working with machinery and tools
  • Experience working within a school environment is essential.
  • Respect for safeguarding and confidentiality,
  • A strong ability to communicate well and work as part of a team
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

    We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the updated service.
