Domestic Abuse Support Worker - Ammanford
Your new company
We are looking to recruiting personable, flexible and motivated domestic violence support workers to support our qualified staff with the delivery of care to our users. You will be involved in the care and meeting the psychological needs of a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of mental issues. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you work well in a team as you will work alongside staff from other professions.
Your new role
Working closely with the users to manage their needs on a caseload basis. This will involve liaising with other agencies to help the people who are being referred to the service who need emotional support and guidance to achieve a positive outcome. This is a fast-paced role, where you will be completing admin duties, going out into the community to meet with new referrals and your case load, as well as working with other charities. Typical shifts will be 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous experience of working with victims of domestic abuse, or display suitable transferrable skills that will enable you to give the people you support, the best standard of care and support. Desirable experience in the mental health field, dealing with domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, helping people with housing and their benefits.
