Your new role

As a Document Controller, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by managing and maintaining accurate records and documentation across multiple infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all documents are properly filed, version-controlled, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams, you will help maintain compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing document control systems and ensuring timely updates.
  • Ensuring proper classification, organisation, and retrieval of documents.
  • Tracking document revisions and maintaining version control.
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with ISO and client standards.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to coordinate documentation flow.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a document control or administrative role, ideally within construction or engineering.
  • Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
  • HNC/HND in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable.
