Your new role

Your new role will be a Document Controller, joining the team on a temporary basis, 3 months minimum. This vital role ensures the accuracy, quality, and integrity of project documentation throughout its lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project teams and external contractors to manage and control documentation using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS). Responsibilities include controlling the numbering, filing, sorting, and retrieval of electronic documentation; ensuring compliance with standard templates and formats; performing quality and compliance checks before issuing documents; and maintaining document registers and trackers. The role also involves liaising with internal teams and external contractors, managing transmittals and project files from initiation to close-out, preparing ad-hoc project reports, and undertaking document control training and administrative duties.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in document control or record management
  • Strong knowledge of document control processes and EDMS (e.g., ProjectWise, AssetWise eB, Asite, Business Collaborator, Autodesk)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to multitask under pressure
