Your new role

This is a newly created Document Controller and Site Administrator joining an industrious team. This is a varied role where previous construction experience is essential; the Document Control/Site Administrator will manage the document control process on this project, liaising internally with the site team, and externally with the client. The post holder will also manage all site documentation. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Proactively lead and manage document control on selected project/s, being the first point of contact for all document control issues
  • To update and maintain the company share drive with all project documentation including H&S and Q&A
  • Weekly material/plant/waste returns and scanning/filing of all site documents
  • Monthly environmental report
  • Updating site drawing register
  • Onboarding and security clearance
  • Collecting and chasing paperwork
  • Chasing operatives to respond to email once cleared
  • Booking in the inductions
  • Booking in visitors for temporary passes
  • Booking in deliveries
  • Chasing for the correct information/booking forms from the supply chain
  • Investigating transport failings / complaints
  • Requesting App log in codes for haulier/drivers
  • Checking app usage and chasing those not using
  • Completing waste and materials trackers
  • Arranging vehicle passes
  • Maintaining the system for all workers, keeping records up to date.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you will need:
  • Experience as a Document Controller, preferably with a Main Contractor
  • Experience in the Construction Industry / working on-site
  • Construction understanding and background
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
  • Excellent IT skills - Excel/Microsoft Word knowledge.
  • Datascope & CEMAR experience is desirable, but full training will be given.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Meticulous, organised, proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Eye for Detail. Self-motivated and enthusiastic
