A leading insurance group is seeking an experienced Director – Group Finance to oversee group‑level financial reporting, consolidation, IFRS 17 delivery, audit management, and to play a key role in supporting M&A activity. This is a high‑impact leadership role within a dynamic and growing organisation, offering significant exposure to senior executives and strategic decision‑making.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Overseeing preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including technical accounting guidance and high‑quality disclosures.

• Owning IFRS 17 reporting, working closely with actuarial, FP&A, and business units to validate assumptions, outputs, and controls.

• External audit, managing timelines, deliverables, and strengthening the financial control environment.

• Supporting M&A transactions.

What you'll need to succeed

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in insurance within a group environment.
• Deep technical knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 17.
• Strong leadership capability and experience managing group reporting or consolidation processes.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
