Digital Systems Manager, Lisburn, 6 months (with possible extension), c£40k

A large public sector body is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Systems Manager to provide specialist technical and business expertise across a diverse range of Line of Business (LOB) digital systems and services. Based at the organisation’s Headquarters in Lisburn, this role is essential to ensuring the effective development, maintenance, and support of key operational and technical systems. As a key member of the IT team, the successful candidate will deliver a modern, customer-focused service that supports the organisation’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a wide range of Digital LOB systems and services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of new digital projects and system upgrades.
  • Oversee service requests and incidents using ITSM tools, ensuring SLA compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Coordinate change management and release activities, including liaison with external advisory boards.
  • Deliver innovative IT solutions aligned with organisational goals and ensure compliance with ISO 20000 standards.
  • Ensure governance, data protection, and information assurance standards are upheld across all systems.

Essential Criteria
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., IT, Systems Development).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Systems Manager role, or 5 years in a similar capacity.
  • Proven experience in managing and upgrading IT systems, with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Demonstrable skills in planning, organisation, communication (oral and written), and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality, detail-oriented results.
  • Possession of a full, current UK driving licence or access to transport to meet job requirements.
