About the Role
An outstanding secondary school in North London is seeking to appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join its committed and dynamic team from
September 2025. This is a pivotal role within the school community, ensuring that safeguarding remains a top priority and that all students are supported to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be passionate about student welfare, proactive in promoting a safe learning environment, and confident in working with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on all safeguarding matters across the school.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding guidance and best practices.
  • Work closely with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Promote a culture of vigilance and support across the school community.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Holds a degree and has relevant safeguarding training (DSL Level 3 preferred).
  • Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and a child-centred approach.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Possesses a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement.
