About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic
Design and Technology Teacher to join our forward-thinking department. You will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, systems and control, and/or textiles, depending on your specialism.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, practical and theory-based lessons in Design and Technology.
- Foster creativity, innovation, and technical skills in students of all abilities.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
- Experience teaching KS3–KS5 (including A-Level).
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM and other relevant technologies.
- A commitment to inclusive, hands-on, and student-centred teaching.
Desirable Characteristics of an Experienced Teacher:
- A track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes in D&T.
- Experience leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Confidence in managing workshop tools, machinery, and health & safety protocols.
- Ability to inspire students through real-world design challenges and competitions.
- Familiarity with sustainability and innovation in design education.
- A collaborative approach to working within a creative team.
