Freelance Design Manager – Tier 1 Contractor – Middlesbrough/Darlington

A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for a freelance Design Manager to join a major commercial development in Middlesbrough, starting
Immediately. You’ll work closely with the Senior Design Manager, supporting design coordination and delivery across multiple packages.

Contract: 2 to 3 months initially but with opportunity to go longer
Rate:
Competitive day rate

Experience Required

Proven track record in design management on large-scale commercial or mixed-use projects
Experience working with Tier 1/tier 2 main contractors
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, technical design, and consultant coordination
Background in architecture, engineering, or construction management
Confident in managing design deliverables and working within fast-paced project environments.
