Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed structural designs using TEKLA Structures.
Carry out structural calculations to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver design solutions on time and within budget.
Support the production and site teams with technical guidance and problem-solving.
Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive as a Design Engineer, applicants should bring prior experience in structural or design engineering, preferably within the precast or broader construction industry. Proficiency in TEKLA Structures is a must, along with a solid understanding of structural calculations and core engineering concepts. A qualification such as an HNC, HND, or a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or an equivalent) is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as are excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment, consistently delivering high-quality design solutions on schedule and within budget.
