Deputy Credit Manager - Permanent - Baglan

Your new company
Your new company is a long‑established, privately owned organisation with a strong regional footprint across the Wales & West area. It has a well‑established credit control function already in place and is continuing to strengthen its finance operations due to sustained growth and internal development. The culture is collaborative, stable and supportive, offering long‑term progression for the right person.

Your new role
Your new role is a Deputy Credit Manager position, supporting the Regional Credit Manager in overseeing the regional credit function. You’ll be involved in assessing new credit applications, reviewing and managing ongoing customer exposure, providing guidance to branch and site managers, and helping ensure the consistent application of company credit policies and debt‑recovery processes. You will also act as the key point of leadership in the Regional Credit Manager’s absence, with occasional travel across the region depending on operational needs.

What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll need experience within commercial credit management or a senior credit control role, along with relevant supervisory or team‑leadership experience. Strong stakeholder‑management skills, confidence in decision‑making, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels will be essential. A finance‑related qualification is beneficial but not essential, and training can be provided. Experience with balance‑sheet analysis or credit‑risk assessment would be advantageous.

What you’ll get in return
You’ll receive a competitive salary and a strong benefits package including profit‑sharing, company‑contributory pension, employee discounts, sick pay, and free flu jabs. You’ll be joining a respected, long‑standing organisation offering stability, professional development, and an opportunity to progress within a well‑established regional credit function.
