Permanent Demand Planner Role
OBJECTIVE
To manage the demand management interface on behalf of Supply Chain, ensuring that customers maintain appropriate levels of inventory, obtain customer requirements and fulfilment of their orders and work closely with supply planners, International Sales, Finance and third-party suppliers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage the key operational interactions with all markets.
- Obtain confirmed PO’s from customers to meet forecasted requirements
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the end-to-end supply chain, including raw materials, packaging and finished goods and accessories from third-party manufacturers and suppliers through to release to sales in UK and International markets, on time and in full in a GMP compliant manner.
- Optimise the use of SAP APO, through the maintenance and review of our planning parameters, turning purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
- Negotiate with suppliers inventory management related parameters; safety stocks, minimum order quantities and lead times as required.
- Manage new product introductions, packaging changes and customer demands, ensuring volumes and requirements are communicated across the business.
- Lead month end reporting inc monthly invoicing of 3rd party sales, 3+9, 6+6 and 9+3 reporting with the Finance team.
- Take account of agreed performance levels, take appropriate corrective actions as required and communicate risks and opportunities to the business as they present.
- Produce regular KPI reporting across multiple supply chain metrics, including supplier performance
- Provide customer overview at Monthly S&OP meetings in collaboration with TechOps, Commercial Finance, Quality, Regulatory and MS&T
- Perform root cause analysis routinely to identify improvements across all aspects of Supply Demand Planning.
- Own supply chain processes, document and maintain SOPs, constantly identifying and implementing areas of improvement.
- Manage the movement, receipt and reconciliation of stock
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
This role will mainly be office-based. HYBRID 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE, 2 DAYS WORKING FROM HOME
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent spoken and written communication

- Interpersonal skills, relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure in a progressive and changing environment
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, Excel to intermediate level
- Sound knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable.
- Experience of the planning and purchasing cycle, including MRP desirable.
- Understanding of pre-production and manufacturing processes
- Pharma Industry experience would be an advantage. GMP/GDP
