Data Warehouse Specialist (NHS)

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for a DW Developer / Data Warehouse Consultant to support the remediation of performance issues and stability problems across enterprise data pipelines within an NHS Trust environment.

Bradford-based client (Remote role)
3-month contract
Inside IR35

This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on SQL performance tuning, DBA-level troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and remediate performance and reliability issues within data warehouse pipelines
Perform SQL and database-level performance tuning and optimisation
Support and advise on data warehouse architecture and data structures
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support NHS national submissions and ensure alignment with NHS data dictionaries and standards

Essential Skills & Experience
Strong Data Warehouse development experience
Advanced SQL (writing and optimising complex queries)
DBA-level knowledge, particularly performance tuning and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of data architecture and data structures
Experience with NHS national submissions and NHS data dictionaries
Strong communication skills and experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders

Desirable
Experience working within an NHS Trust or healthcare environment
Experience remediating legacy or poorly performing data platforms
