Overview:

Hays is working in partnership with a local council to recruit two Data Officers to support the Strategic Parks Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, maintenance, and reporting of asset management systems, GIS, and related data tools. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data systems are effectively utilised across various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage data across Strategic Parks Management platforms and GIS systems.
  • Deliver training on asset management and GIS tools.
  • Design and review reports to support operational performance and monitoring.
  • Produce mapping and recommend system upgrades for improved asset and GIS functionality.
  • Support teams including Trees, Playgrounds, Rangers, and Destination Parks with data on surveys, inspections, risk assessments, and work programs.
  • Develop and coordinate asset management and GIS systems to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
  • Assist with financial components of asset management frameworks and liaise with Finance and stakeholders to resolve queries.
Requirements:

  • Experience working with GIS and asset management systems.
  • Strong data management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to train and support users on technical systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
