New interim in Glasgow for an experienced Data Modeller to work on behalf of a prestigio finance organisation.

Your new company

Join a leading financial services organisation committed to transforming how data is governed, modelled, and used across its Wholesale Banking business. You’ll be part of a strategic data function driving enterprise-wide consistency, helping shape cloud‑based data products that underpin critical lending, pricing, and regulatory capabilities. This is a company investing heavily in modern data architecture, clear modelling standards, and domain‑driven design — providing you with the opportunity to influence how foundational data is structured for years to come.

Your new role

As the Data Modeller, you will serve as the authoritative owner of the enterprise data model for Wholesale Banking. Your role spans conceptual, logical, and physical modelling, ensuring data structures accurately reflect business processes, lifecycle events, and the domain semantics of wholesale lending.
You’ll design end‑to‑end models across Loans, Deals, Sanctions, Facilities, Pricing, Billing, Collateral, Party, Product, and supporting reference data — driving alignment between business needs, cloud‑based data products, and enterprise architecture principles.
You will define canonical models, maintain lineage between concepts and processes, establish modelling standards, and champion data quality, consistency, and reusability across platforms, APIs, and analytical environments.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong wholesale lending domain expertise — including Loans, Deals, Sanctions, Facilities, Pricing, Billing, Collateral, Party, and Product

  • Deep experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale, cloud‑based data products

  • Strong understanding of modelling approaches such as 3NF, data vault, dimensional, and hybrid

  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, product owners, and domain SMEs

  • Proven capability to map business processes, lifecycle events, and data flows into accurate enterprise data structures

  • Experience defining metadata, canonical data entities, business glossary entries, and modelling standards

  • A track record of ensuring model quality, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data principles

What you'll get in return

You’ll join a business that recognises the value of clear, well‑governed, enterprise‑grade data models. Expect high visibility, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to define critical data structures across wholesale lending. You’ll shape the target‑state data architecture, influence strategic programmes, and work closely with senior leaders across technology and the business — all while helping the organisation unlock the full value of its cloud‑based data products.
