Data Governance & Data Quality Lead – Paying between £450 to £600 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working (On site 3 days per week), To Start ASAP

We're seeking an experienced Data Governance & Data Quality Lead to take ownership of a critical data workstream within a large-scale transformation programme.

This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can quickly assess the current landscape, establish governance foundations, drive data quality improvements and influence stakeholders across the business. You'll be responsible for putting the right frameworks, processes, ownership models and controls in place to support successful programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks
  • Establish data ownership, stewardship and accountability across the organisation
  • Define and implement governance artefacts, processes and quality standards
  • Drive data cleansing, remediation and quality improvement activities
  • Manage data-related risks, issues and dependencies
  • Influence stakeholders and teams to deliver against programme objectives, timelines and budgets
  • Provide leadership while remaining hands-on in delivery where required

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience leading Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives within complex transformation programmes
  • Experience supporting data migration programmes and SAP S/4HANA transformation experience would be beneficial
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change and build consensus
  • Experience establishing governance processes, controls and operating models
  • Track record of improving data quality and delivering sustainable governance practices
  • Self-starter who can operate autonomously, create structure and bring teams together to achieve outcomes
