Data Engineer - 12 month contract

Your new role

We are seeking a Data Engineer (ideal for someone early in their career) to join an Advanced Analytics project within the public sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to learning new technologies, and the ability to follow defined processes. This role requires familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and excellent problem-solving skills.

What you'll need to succeed

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Knowledge of some of the following:

UNIX systems
SQL (including Oracle DB, Postgres, Azure SQLServer)
CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Puppet CI)
DevOps practices
Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)
Monitoring and messaging tools (ActiveMQ, Zabbix or Grafana)
Big Data tools (Hadoop or Ambari)
BPM and SOA tools (Oracle BPM, Oracle SOA, ActiviBPM)
Web technologies (IIS)

Collaboration Tools:

Jira
Confluence
BitBucket

Candidate Profile:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Quick learner with a proactive attitude
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment

What you'll get in return

12 month contract (extensions highly likely) – Inside IR35 regs – 5 days on-site at the client site near to Winchester
