Your new role

We are working with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a major transformation of its clearing and data estate. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a modern, scalable data platform that supports core clearing operations, advanced analytics, and regulatory reporting. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of business and technology, ideal for an experienced data engineer who enjoys owning end ‑ to ‑ end data solutions and contributing to enterprise ‑ wide data strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering or software engineering within financial services or a similarly regulated environment
• Proven experience delivering at least one production ‑ grade data platform
• Strong hands ‑ on capability with modern data engineering tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt, Snowflake (Essential)
• Experience with backend technologies (e.g. Java / Spring Boot)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud ‑ native data architectures
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Exposure to financial services regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, MiFID II, GDPR, PFMI, or similar
