Data Controls Lead - Hybrid - 6 months contract
This role is responsible for leading the design, assessment, and continuous improvement of data controls for Critical Data Elements (CDEs) across Markets, Risk, Finance, and Compliance. It focuses on ensuring data quality, identifying control gaps, partnering with SMEs and Technology to implement robust solutions, and driving enterprise-wide standards that strengthen data integrity across complex processes and interconnected systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of Data Controls for Critical Data Elements (CDEs) — from assessment and requirements definition through design/build coordination with technology, testing, transition to BAU.
- Assess, optimise, and remediate data control effectiveness across complex Markets, Risk, Finance, and Compliance environments — including running control assessments with SMEs, identifying and solving control gaps, managing data exceptions, and driving enhancements to Data Quality and control frameworks.
- Define and deliver enterprise-wide data standards, documentation, and remediation strategies — reviewing CDE requirements, analysing consumer needs, guiding remediation with Technology and Control Owners, and ensuring that data risks are mitigated across interconnected processes.
