About the Role

We’re looking for a Surveyor to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. You’ll use your technical expertise to ensure homes are safe, compliant, and places customers are proud to call home. This role involves providing specialist advice on complex repair issues, damp and mould, housing disrepair, and escalated cases, while ensuring statutory and regulatory obligations are met.

You’ll work closely with in-house trades and contractors, overseeing works to guarantee quality, compliance, and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the property expert for teams across the organisation.
  • Inspect tenanted and empty homes, identifying maintenance and investment needs.
  • Complete damp and mould assessments in line with Awaab’s Law.
  • Manage cases from start to finish, providing timely updates and recommendations.
  • Oversee and inspect work by contractors and in-house teams, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Support Housing Disrepair Claims and resolve low-level complaints.
  • Contribute to asset planning and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, repairs, and regulations.
  • Experience in on-site supervision and managing contractors.
