3–5 Years experience – Must be close to London.
The Pre-Sales Consultant will propose enterprise infrastructure and security solutions through a structured consultation framework based on recognised regulations and standards (e.g., Cyber Essentials in the UK and Europe, ISO 27001, NIST). This role combines consultative engagement with product management support to deliver tailored solutions that meet compliance requirements and customer needs.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Pre-Sales Engagement
Support sales teams in identifying and qualifying opportunities.
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and solution overviews to prospective clients.
Act as a trusted advisor during pre-sales discussions, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
2. Consultation & Productisation
Lead initiatives to develop and standardise consultation offerings based on frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, and similar.
Translate customer needs and compliance obligations into actionable service packages and product features.
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to ensure feasibility and competitiveness.
3. Product Management Support
Assist in defining product roadmaps and service enhancements based on market trends and client feedback. Monitor performance of consultation services and recommend improvements.
Contribute to pricing strategies and value propositions.
4. Customer Interaction
Engage with clients to gather requirements, analyse challenges, and propose compliant solutions. Maintain clear and professional communication throughout the pre-sales cycle.
5. Internal Collaboration
Work closely with sales, technical, and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to implementation. Provide input for marketing materials and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Experience and skills:
1. Skills & Competencies
Strong listening, analytical, and communication skills. Solid understanding of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001). Ability to create clear, concise documentation and proposals. Collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
2. Experience & Qualifications
Pre-sales, product management, or IT consultation (Junior role acceptable). Familiarity with IT security standards and enterprise solutions is an advantage.
Preferred Certifications:(advantageous, not mandatory). - Project Management: PMP or PRINCE2 (Foundation or Practitioner level) or equivalent. - Security: CISSP or equivalent. - Microsoft Power Platform related certifications or equivalent. Proficiency in MS Office and presentation tools.
