About the role

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Consultant to conduct a deep-dive assessment of the current security landscape. The company currently utilises a blend of external services, tools and providers to support its cyber operations. They are looking for a Cyber expert to analyse, evaluate and optimise the overall security architecture.

Skills

- Experience working in a highly regulated environment, ideally in finance/banking.

- Extensive knowledge of performing architecture reviews and driving cyber transformation programmes.

- Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence platforms, logging and monitoring frameworks.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

- Perform a detailed analysis of the organisation's existing cyber security operations.

- Map out the current architecture, identifying strengths, weaknesses, gaps and inefficiencies.

- Advise senior leadership on SecOps strategy, covering tooling, SIEM/SOAR use, incident response maturity, vendor consolidation and internal capability development.

- Create actionable remediation plans and strategic roadmaps for long-term cyber resilience.

Course description
Hacking has gone from an obscure term to something that appears in the daily news. In this course we'll get started with what is hacking and understand some of the differences between "white hat" hackers and "black" or "grey" hat hackers. It will cover at a high level what are some of the essential tools a hacker needs to know about and be proficient with as well as the credentials of a hacker and what you can expect when becoming a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), an certification by the EC-Council.
Each LearnNowOnline training course is made up of Modules (typically an hour in length). Within each module there are Topics (typically 15-30 minutes each) and Subtopics (typically 2-5 minutes each). There is a Post Exam for each Module that must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to successfully and fully complete the course.

Prerequisites
To get the most out of this course, this course assumes that you have a good working knowledge of Linux and Windows based networking environments. It also assumes that you have experience with managing a network, have worked with networking hardware such as switches & routers, are familiar with MS Active Directory (AD) Domain based authentication, know how to work with command-line utilities, and understand the basics of Web Server environments. Many of the demonstrations in this course use the Windows 7 and Kali Linux operating systems which can be downloaded free from the respective sites. All of the demonstrations are created in a virtual environment using Oracle VirtualBox and VMware vSphere 6.
