My Client is looking for a passionate Business Analyst to join the team and support the implementation of a range of business and IT projects, with a focus on supporting a strategic investment in organisations' 1Cyber recovery capabilities on an interim basis.

Cyber Recovery Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage cyber recovery strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure rapid restoration of critical data and systems following cyber incidents.
  • Own tactical and longer-term programme actions as required by the Cyber Recovery programme manager.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify essential data, applications, and infrastructure requiring cyber recovery protection.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop cyber recovery runbooks.
  • Support the review of existing and potential third-party contracts for alignment with the Cyber recovery requirements as defined during Business Impact assessments.
  • Support in the planning and delivery of cyber recovery simulations and tabletop exercises.
  • Document recovery actions, lessons learnt and recommend enhancements to strengthen organisational resilience.

Team Key Responsibilities

  • Guide stakeholders on defining project objectives and problem statements
  • Work closely with project managers to define scope
  • Capture requirements for a variety of projects, from system enhancements to components of complex business transformational projects
  • Collaborate with a variety of business teams to understand the crux of their function, understanding the outcomes they aspire to achieve and why
  • Model business processes to identify issues or gaps, and facilitate their re-design by users
  • Map current state and future state business processes
  • Liaise with IT teams to make sure that proposed solutions take account of technical and resourcing constraints.
  • Build solid relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the business and IT on proposed solutions
  • Facilitate workshops with business and IT

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a business analyst/similar role working in a technical environment
  • Strong and articulate communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach
  • Experience in large scale IT projects including systems integration and Cyber Recovery
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, architectural frameworks and key ITIL disciplines
  • Experience with business process design and notation tools such as BPMN or UML
  • Sound knowledge of cloud computing and its key components
  • Experience in a legal or professional services practice (desirable)
