Your new company
We are one of the UK’s most respected charities, known for transforming lives through mobility, independence and inclusion. As we continue to strengthen our cybersecurity posture, we’re investing in modern security tooling and robust defensive capabilities to safeguard our people, data and services. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a mission‑critical security initiative, where your expertise will directly enhance the resilience of systems that support thousands of service users.

Your new role
As Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll lead the implementation, optimisation and ongoing enhancement of core security controls across the organisation. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to integrate new security technologies, refine configurations, strengthen monitoring and detection capabilities and provide guidance on best‑practice security operations. From initial rollout to continuous improvement, you’ll be the go‑to expert driving success in this critical programme of work.

What you'll need to succeed
You’re an experienced cyber security engineer contractor with a strong track record delivering security solutions in local and enterprise environments. You have deep technical knowledge across areas such as endpoint protection, SIEM/EDR platforms, vulnerability management, identity security and threat detection workflows. Strong troubleshooting and configuration skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Familiarity with Microsoft environments and broader security frameworks is highly beneficial.

What you'll get in return
This is a contract with purpose. Alongside a competitive daily rate, you’ll gain the flexibility of remote working, the autonomy to lead a high‑impact security initiative and the chance to make a real difference in a respected organisation delivering services that change lives.
