Customer Service Officer, immediate start, 6-month fixed term contract, Wakefield
Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced customer service officer/administrator to work in the Customer Services team, for a well-known Housing Association in Wakefield. This role will be a temporary-fixed-term contract position initially until March 2025.
Your new role
- Acting as point of contact for all enquiries and providing quality advice and assistance
- Maintain records of customer interactions and follow up on enquiries to ensure timely resolution
- Liaise with internal departments such as repairs, housing management and finance to resolve customer queries
- Provide Administrative support for Tenant onboarding, ensuring all documents and procedures are completed
- Support residents with any tenancy related issues, including rent arrears, complaints or changes in personal circumstances
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a customer service or similar role, ideally within housing, social services, or the public sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple queries and follow up effectively.
- Proficiency in using customer management systems and general IT tools.
