Customer Services Administrator

Your new company

Hays are working with a well-established business in Shrewsbury to recruit a Customer Services Administrator to act as the front line of customer interaction, processing and expediting sales orders, resolving queries, and maintaining outstanding customer relationships. This role is pivotal in ensuring service excellence and supporting the company’s commercial growth.

Your new role

  • Process and expedite customer sales orders using SAP.
  • Respond to inbound calls.
  • Resolve product, pricing, and delivery queries.
  • Liaise with Account Managers for unresolved technical or pricing issues.
  • Monitor open orders and back orders, updating customers on delivery changes.
  • Track carrier deliveries and resolve issues related to damage or missing items.
  • Manage internal inbox.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update systems promptly.
  • Create and update internal price lists.
  • Set up new customer accounts.
  • Book deliveries and coordinate with customers.
  • Process returns and issue credits.
  • Liaise with 3PL partners for logistics coordination.
  • Manage live chat responses.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2 years of proven customer service experience.
  • Secondary education with 4–5 GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or further education qualification (preferred).
  • Strong team player with excellent time management
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer service
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
