Your new role
As Credit Controller, you will take ownership of managing credit policies and processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining accurate debtor records. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve queries, monitor accounts, and prepare regular financial reports.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
- Chasing outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
- Resolving invoice and payment queries efficiently
- Assessing credit risk and setting up new customer accounts
- Preparing debtor reports and aged debt analysis
- Working with sales and finance teams to reduce overdue debt
- Ensuring compliance with credit control procedures
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable (essential)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good IT skills, including Excel and accounting software
