A rare opportunity to join my client in the role of Credit Controller at their expanding site located in the Colchester area.

Your new role

Working as part of a professional and supportive finance team, you will play a pivotal role in the position of Credit Controller, managing the debtor ledger with key duties including:

• Build strong working relationships with customers
• Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone and email
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Customer database updates and maintenance
• Aged debtor reporting
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all customer accounts are accurate and providing key insights
• Provide key insights to Senior Management regarding debt position
• Recommend and highlight accounts that require escalation or legal action
• Assist with month-end reporting and sales ledger reconciliations

What you'll need to succeed

• You will have proven experience in a similar credit control position

• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail will be essential
• Knowledge of Sage will be highly beneficial
• Positive and proactive team player

What you'll get in return
