Credit Control Role – Established & Growing Manufacturing Business – Stroud, Gloucestershire – Permanent

Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with an established & growing manufacturing business to recruit a dynamic, experienced & hands-on Credit Controller to join their finance team. Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take control of all credit control duties for the organisation as they continue to grow, building strong relationships with external customers along with internal operational teams to maintain debt levels to a minimum. You will also be involved in sales ledger reporting, along with additional ad-hoc duties to support a close-knit finance team. As the sole Credit Controller for the organisation, you will be given the opportunity to really make the role your own.

Your new role
Your key duties will involve taking full ownership in managing the credit control/sales ledger processes, processing customer credit limits, reviewing trading history & checking credit records. You will complete credit reference requests, send out monthly statements, along with building relationships with customers to chase overdue accounts, ensuring all queries are resolved. You will produce monthly reports on the sales ledger, monitor the accounts inbox & work closely with the internal operational/sales teams to keep on-top of any upcoming debt issues/problems. You will post receipts on customer accounts, daily bank reconciliations, along with supporting the wider finance team and senior management with ad-hoc duties to enable further business growth. You will be given the opportunity to really make the role your own, suggesting/improving credit control/sales ledger processes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Credit Control position, you will need experience in a similar role, enthusiastic about building both internal/external relationships, with strong communication/customer service skills. You will have strong attention to detail, a team player who can also use their own initiative, along with being adaptable to organisational needs. You will be willing to learn and have experience with financial systems along with MS Excel. You will have a proactive & positive working attitude, along with being able to manage workloads to meet deadlines. Experience working within the manufacturing sector in a hands-on credit control role would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Credit Control position offers a salary between £30,000 - £36,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
