Your new role
- Managing the end‑to‑end credit control process for a portfolio of accounts.
- Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional, customer‑focused manner.
- Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts.
- Investigating and resolving queries promptly to prevent delays in payment.
- Reviewing credit limits and assessing customer creditworthiness.
- Producing aged debt reports and supporting month‑end processes.
- Working closely with the wider finance team and operational departments to minimise risk and improve cashflow.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage conversations confidently.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑moving environment.
- Experience using finance systems and Excel (pivot tables, lookups are advantageous).
- A proactive approach to resolving queries and improving processes.
- A positive, team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to support colleagues when needed.
