Full Time or Part Time, Maternity Cover
Start: June 2026
Salary: £36,000 FTE
We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our community and take on the position of Creative Arts Teacher/Practitioner, covering a period of maternity leave from June 2026. This position is currently available part time (Mon-Wed) with a full time option available by negotiation for someone looking for 5 days per week.
The appointed candidate will work with children (aged 7 to 18) with key responsibilities to include the provision of high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programmes and the delivery of associated assessment, administration and support for learning. You will teach the Leicestershire Music Hub scheme of learning for primary (stage not age), Dance/PE and Drama across class groups. A large part of this role will be to help develop social interaction skills for children by coordinating role play scenarios within your lessons.
Finding the right person for this position is key for us, therefore QTS is only a desirable requirement. The successful candidate will have:
• Experience delivering Creative Art courses to pupils (Essential)
• Knowledge of music, dance and drama skills activities to engage pupils in learning (Essential)
• Experience working with pupils with SEN and awareness of how to adapt learning to meet the needs of the child (Essential)
• Evidence of successful and innovative teaching (Essential)
• QTS (Desirable but not essential)
