Cover Supervisors for Secondary Schools across West Yorkshire
Cover Supervisors needed Secondary Schools across West Yorkshire Required from September 2026
We are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in secondary schools across West Yorkshire, starting from September 2026.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and supporting students’ learning in a classroom setting.
The Role
As a day-to-day supply Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
Duties include:

- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing a calm, positive, and productive learning environment
- Supporting students with their work where appropriate
- Adapting to different schools, subjects, and age groups (KS3 and KS4)
Work can range from single-day cover to short-term assignments, depending on school requirements and your availability.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar setting (desirable)
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A flexible, professional, and reliable approach
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Degree-level education or relevant experience (preferred but not essential)
