Cover Supervisors – Wigan Area

Cover Supervisors – Wigan Area

Confident in the classroom? Ready to lead learning? Starting this September.

Your new opportunity

Join a network of inclusive and well-supported secondary schools across the Wigan area, where your classroom experience can make a real impact. We’re looking for experienced Cover Supervisors and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are confident in managing behaviour, delivering pre-set lessons, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

This flexible role offers day-to-day and short-term cover opportunities, with the potential for long-term placements. It’s ideal for those who enjoy variety and want to build strong relationships across different school settings.

Your new role

Starting this September, you’ll supervise lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll be expected to manage behaviour, follow lesson plans, and support students in their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Managing classroom behaviour with confidence and consistency.
  • Supporting students in completing tasks and staying on track.
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and engagement.
  • Upholding school policies and promoting a positive learning environment.

Who this role is perfect for:

    This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors with a strong classroom presence.
  • ECTs looking to gain valuable experience across different schools.
  • Qualified teachers seeking flexible work or a route back into teaching.
  • Individuals who have worked in a school setting and understand the demands of the classroom.

Please note: This role is not suitable for applicants without prior classroom experience, and we do not offer sponsorship for this role. We are also recruiting for multiple candidates.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people’s education.

What you'll get in return

  • A flexible and rewarding role starting in September.
  • Competitive daily rate of pay.
  • Access to free, high-quality Professional Development Training.
  • Full holiday entitlement.
  • Company pension scheme and exclusive benefits.
  • Refer-a-friend scheme with rewards.
  • Potential for long-term or permanent placement.
