Your new role

As Cover Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day. Starting promptly at 7:15am, you will be responsible for coordinating daily cover arrangements, liaising with external agencies, and deploying internal staff effectively. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to manage cover budgets, track expenditure, and ensure strategic use of resources. In addition to administrative duties, you will provide in-class cover support, managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Early morning coordination of cover needs
Liaising with supply agencies and internal staff
Budget tracking and reporting
Working collaboratively with SLT
Classroom supervision and behaviour management

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Confidence in managing behaviour and leading a classroom
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with staff and external partners
Experience in a school setting or similar environment is desirable.
A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving
