Your new company
Our client is a well-regarded regional law firm operating in the North West. Specialising in housing litigation work, they are currently seeking an experienced legal costs specialist to lead their Liverpool team. The firm offers a strong benefits package, including a sizeable employer pension contribution, a very competitive bonus and 2 days working from home per week.

Your new role
This Costs Team Leader role will see you responsible for:
  • Ensure delivery of the highest standards of client care by providing costs schedules where required (EPA Cases) to support fee earners and solicitors.
  • Recovering costs promptly upon successful resolution of civil Housing Disrepair Claims.
  • Leading and managing the established Costs Team, including the supervision and performance management of costs draftsmen and debt recovery enforcement officers.
  • Acting as the technical referral point for the Costs Team.
  • Running a small caseload of costs files.
  • Responding to Points of Reply for the Costs Team.
  • Managing Lien, Client Costs, and Defendant Costs files.
  • Collaborate to ensure smooth business operations by carrying out other duties as required to assist in the efficient running of the business

What you'll need to succeed
  • Strong previous legal costs experience.
  • Proven experience in supervision and team management.
  • Proficient in using Proclaim and Costs Master systems.
  • Housing Disrepair experience (preferred).
  • Strong IT literacy and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
