As part of this exciting growth phase, we’re seeking Cost Managers at multiple levels—from intermediate to senior—to join a high-performing team shaping the future of Irish infrastructure.
Your new role
- 2 days in Newtownabbey
- 1 day in Dublin
- 2 days working from home
Intermediate-level responsibilities include:
- Supporting day-to-day commercial delivery across project phases
- Contract administration, including valuations, forecasting and reporting
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and risk-adjusted cost advice
- Assisting with tender evaluations and commercial governance
- Supporting improvements to cost management systems and templates
- Leading commercial strategy and governance for major road or infrastructure projects
- Overseeing contract compliance and performance monitoring
- Providing expert NEC contractual advice and financial reporting
- Managing high-performing teams and embedding commercial best practices
- Advising clients at governance gateways and public audit levels
What you'll need to succeed
- Tier 1: 15+ years
- Tier 2: 10+ years
- Tier 3: 5+ years
- A proven track record of managing large-scale, complex construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in a regulated environment using NEC contracts
- Strong commercial management experience including cost estimation, pricing, procurement, tender evaluations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in developing cost plans and estimates for public sector business case approval, governance reviews, and audit scrutiny
- A confident ability to manage technical outputs, contract administration, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes at all levels
- Experience of preparing cost advice for risk and opportunity registers, option appraisals, and financial reporting
- Familiarity with contract documentation, bespoke NEC4 terms, and preparation of bills of quantities or schedules of rates
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work while managing client expectations and deadlines
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead high-performing teams, manage resources and performance, and promote best practice
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and project tools, paired with confident communication—both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and client service quality
