Corporate Commercial Account Executive – Up to £85k, London/Hybrid

A leading UK insurance brokerage is seeking a dynamic Corporate Commercial Account Executive to join its high-performing corporate team based in the heart of the City. Known for delivering expert advice and client-first service, this established broker who supports a wide range of commercial clients with tailored insurance solutions. The team is collaborative, growth-focused, and committed to excellence in every client interaction. Due to growth within the Corporate team, an opportunity has arisen for an Account Executive.


Your new role

Your new role as an Account Executive within the corporate team means that you will play a pivotal role in dealing with clients from inception to completion. You will be looking after an existing book of business as well as driving business growth and strengthening client relationships with a focus on upselling and cross-selling any new business as well as client retention.
You will act as a strategic advisor to your clients, anticipating client needs, delivering a personalised experience and championing client satisfaction. You will need to adopt a consultative approach, building relationships, collaborating with marketing and internal teams, maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset. A part of your role will also include renewal and policy management, which will entail leading the end-to-end renewal cycle and ensuring retention through proactivity. Other duties will include building relationships with Account handlers, as it is important that you actively collaborate and work as a team alongside adhering to compliance procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you must have proven experience as an Account Executive within the Insurance sector, with a focus on Commercial insurance and be able to upsell and cross-sell. You must have a strong knowledge of insurance products, markets and underwriting processes. It is important that you have experience in managing client portfolios, are proficient in using insurance platforms and client management systems, alongside an understanding of compliance regulations. It would be beneficial in this role if you have a CII / ACII qualification or are willing to work towards it alongside experience using Acturis or similar systems. To be successful in this role, you should also be strategic, client-focused, relationship driven, confident in decision-making and problem-solving, a collaborative team player, accountable and results-focused and ensure you’re organised and detail-conscious.
