Contracts Manager Job based in Kent, Circa £60,000 + bonus scheme

This role leads a team of commercial professionals and supports the successful delivery of complex programmes. The position focuses on guiding the business through customer and contractual requirements, ensuring contracts are negotiated, managed, and delivered effectively while balancing risk, opportunity, and financial commitments.

The role requires strong commercial judgement, confidence in negotiating terms and conditions, and the ability to work closely with engineering, project, and finance teams in a collaborative environment.

Your new role

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of commercial / contracts professionals
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead customer negotiations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate terms and conditions for high‑value contracts
  • Interpret customer and contractual requirements and advise internal teams during bid and delivery
  • Oversee contract performance and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and guide mitigation or leverage actions
  • Manage contract changes and ensure financial commitments are achieved
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, finance, and other teams to support programme delivery

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience managing or supervising commercial or contracts professionals
  • Background in complex engineering, complex manufacturing, or legal‑led environments
  • Hands‑on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts
  • Experience supporting or leading customer negotiations, contract changes, and commercial risk management
