Contract Manager (Planned Works) required by a large Housing Association in Belfast on a permanent basis

Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Contract Manager (Planned Works) on a permanent basis.

Your new role

You will have responsibility for managing the delivery of the Planned Works Programme, which will include:

Responsibility for commercial performance ensuring value for money by delivering the services within the project \ order budget.
Responsibility for the development of project programmes, Labour and Materials forecasting, ensuring adequate supply chains are in place to deliver commercially successful projects.
Inspecting properties to identify the works required, measuring, planning and scheduling works.
Ensuring that all records are kept up to date and accurate, including site documentation, drawings, data schedules, work order information and statuses.
Providing regular reports on progress against the programme, labour profile, materials consumption, commercial milestones, issues arising, making recommendations where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• 5+ years' construction programme management.
• A detailed technical knowledge of domestic buildings, including inspections, scoping of works, organising labour and subcontractors.
• Detailed knowledge and evidence of commercial management for MTC planned works delivery (Kitchen, Bathrooms, Windows and Doors)
• A good working knowledge of using IT/database systems and keeping records up-to-date, e.g. Excel, Word and mobile systems (e.g. phone/tablet).
• Evidence and experience in identifying value for money improvement in the delivery of projects, resourcing and procurement.
• Evidence and experience in Health and Safety management and CDM compliance in a construction setting.
• Appropriate graded CSR card
• Current valid UK driving licence and access to private transport.
