A Contract Delivery Surveyor job in social housing, paying up to £44,000 DOE

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be partnering with one of our key housing association clients in recruiting a Contract Delivery Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role focusses on the delivery of contracted compliance and maintenance service across the association's housing stock, and is a key role within the property services team.


Your new role

Your new role will ensure compliance and maintenance services are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner, whilst also conforming to budget and legislative requirements. Your key duties will include:

  • Support in the delivery of landlord compliance (Asbestos, Legionella, Lifts, TMV's, Fire Escapes, White Goods tec) repairs and installations services.
  • Ensure that all completed works conform to regulations and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are met and adhered to.
  • Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that customer expectations are met, and deliver a high satisfaction of service.
  • Complete reporting within set timescales to ensure on-time delivery of works.
  • Efficient service delivery through agreed supply chain.
  • Ensure all works meet decent homes standards.
  • Monitor, manage and review contractor performance.
This role is Monday to Friday, with occasional participation in an on-call out-of-hours rota as required.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role you will require previous experience in a similar property services, maintenance, or M&E position with exposure and focus on asbestos, legionella, lift compliance etc. You will have proven experience in delivering on challenging targets and objectives, whilst also having strong understanding of social housing regulations (Decent Homes, Awaabs' Law tec). You will require good construction knowledge as well as the ability to identify building defects. A P405 qualification is highly desirable in this role, plus experience of financial reporting and administration associated with programmed works delivery.
