The practice offers multidisciplinary expertise in masterplanning, environmental assessment, urban design, landscape, ecology, architecture, arboriculture, and green infrastructure.

Your new role

As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services across a range of projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and conducting ecological surveys (protected species, habitat assessments, biodiversity audits).
  • Preparing ecological reports and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Designing and implementing mitigation measures to protect habitats and enhance biodiversity.
  • Providing expert ecological advice to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

What you'll need to succeed


  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ecological consultancy, including surveys, assessments, reporting, and small project management.
  • Strong knowledge of UK ecological legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience advising on Biodiversity Net Gain and using the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric.
  • Protected species licence or ecological specialism (desirable).
  • Membership or eligibility for a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
