Large Busy Civils Contractor seeks to appoint an in-house Construction Plant Trainer.

Construction Skills Trainer – Plant Operations
Central Belt of Scotland (Glasgow-based with travel across sites)
Full-Time - £38-45K plus Company Vehicle and attractive package

Are you passionate about developing talent in the construction industry? Our civils contracting partner, operating on the outskirts of Glasgow, is seeking a Construction Skills Trainer to deliver high-quality training to heavy and small plant operators across the Central Belt of Scotland.

About the Role

This is a hands-on and dynamic position, ideal for someone with strong experience in plant operations and a passion for mentoring others. You’ll be responsible for:

- Delivering practical and theoretical training to operatives on-site and in classroom settings.
- Assessing competency and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Supporting the development of training materials and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Travelling to various sites across the Central Belt to deliver tailored training sessions.

What they are looking for

- Proven experience operating and/or training on heavy and small plant machinery (e.g., excavators, dozers, dumpers, rollers).
- Recognised training or assessor qualifications (e.g., NPORS, CPCS, CSCS, LANTRA, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
