Your new role

• Experience in civil engineering, groundwork, or general construction projects.
• Plant tickets (e.g., Dumper, Roller, Telehandler) would be advantageous.
• Manual Handling, Working at Height, or First Aid certification.
• Experience using a range of hand and power tools.

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
• Flexible approach to duties and working hours.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• Good communication skills.

• Typically Monday to Friday.
• Overtime may be available depending on project requirements.

• Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid CSR Card, have previous experience in a construction environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety. They will be dependable, physically fit, and capable of supporting site operations across a range of construction activities in the Castledawson area.

What you'll need to succeed

Key Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople and site management with day-to-day construction activities.
• Carry out general labouring duties including site preparation, material handling, and site clearance.
• Load, unload, and move construction materials around site.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site cleanliness.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations.
• Assist with groundwork, concrete works, fencing, drainage, or other construction tasks as required.
• Report any health and safety concerns to site management.
• Work collaboratively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSR (Construction Skills Register) Card.
• Previous experience working on construction sites.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
