Construction Manager – Permanent – Established Contractor – Warwickshire – Civil Engineering

You will be joining an industry-leading civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. This multi-accredited and established contractor is well-known for their commitment to quality, safety and innovation as well as valuing its people and investing in their professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a talented and driven Construction Manager to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation delivering high-value, impactful projects.
This is a full-time permanent position based initially in the Warwickshire area on the HS2 project.
Your new role
As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of projects from inception to completion. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing on-site operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to maintain seamless project execution
- Driving a positive health and safety culture across all site activities
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, risk mitigation plans and progress reports
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, client specifications and regulatory requirements
- Leading value engineering initiatives and promoting continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
- Proven track record of managing large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally including reinforced concrete (RC) works
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations
- Significant site-based managerial experience with a self-delivery contractor
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
- CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
- Full UK driving licence.
